Metric Macro Program

Problem: While LinkedIn does have a mechanism to search for connections with characteristics you are looking for, it does not have a navigation method to tell you from a contact base perspective which connections you have had conversations with over the past five years.
Solution: The good news is that a metric macro program has been written so that someone can easily navigate through the LinkedIn downloadable data.
Metric Macro Program Description
The Metric Macro Program will produce two types of metrics. The first metric is by company focusing on those incoming messages that were received for the past five years on LinkedIn, year by year sorted in most frequency order with the latest years sorted first. The second is by role (C level first down to engineer) and any requested roles in between with the most recent five years sorted inmost frequency order with the latest years sorted first. The program also lets the user choose which role(s) they would like to see in the output information.
There is a set of instructions within a Microsoft Word document that indicates how to use an embedded Microsoft Excel template within the Microsoft Word document. The source data comes solely from https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/member-data.
After you execute the steps, you should have three spreadsheets based on Incoming, Outgoing, or both types of messages (Incoming and Outgoing) that were received over the past five years. The first spreadsheet is the original embedded template spreadsheet within the Microsoft Word instructions document, the second spreadsheet is the metric macro program executable spreadsheet, and the third spreadsheet includes an executed output content after metric macro runs with your Connections and Messages source data.
There is a test team that is currently verifying the metric program works on other Office versions other than the original office version, Office 2016 was leveraged to develop the metric program.
A future version of the metric program is currently under development based on the suggestion of having a response rate percentage metric that computes year by year, by both company and individuals what is the percentage the responses of others based on the incoming messages to outgoing messages. It is anticipated this version of the metric program will be available in the April timeframe.
NOTE: What is unknown by most LinkedIn members is that the website only shows up to the past three years of messages. Downloading of messages as a CSV file goes back 11 years which gives someone a better chance of resurrecting more 1st level LinkedIn contacts.
