Self Care & You!

While those in job search, spend much of their time working on networking, document writing, and interviewing, it is an important time to also focus on and take care of our internal world. It is normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious during times of uncertainty. Fortunately, there are many self-care strategies out there! Self-Care & You will present and share tips on self-care strategies, and how to implement them into your daily routine aimed at helping you become more peaceful in your daily life.
Today’s session will include learning more about how Tai Chi can help us in our daily lives. We will also have a practice session. It is very gentle and controlled, and anyone can participate at any fitness level. Try something new. Take care of yourself!
Presenter: Dave Carr
Dave worked at Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies for 37 years, and is now retired. He worked as a software developer, interactive systems designer and a nonlinear systems analyst. He’s been doing martial arts for over 40 years, and has an 8th degree black belt in karate. He has been practicing Tai Chi for over 25 years. He currently teaches karate, self-defense and Tai Chi. He also writes practices magic.
