Guest: Kaylin Risvold, President, Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce
The second woman to lead the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, Kaylin was raised in Naperville and is thrilled to be able to serve the community that served her. Kaylin notes District 203 for preparing her for the career she has been able to enjoy. Starting at Kingsley Elementary School, moving to Kennedy Junior High School, and finishing at Naperville Central High School gave her the educational opportunities she needed to be able to pursue a successful career in Broadcast Journalism. She attended the University of Missouri where she received degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.
Guest: Anita Knotts, Senior Vice President, Calamos Wealth Management
Anita oversees the Midwest sales region, Marketing, Wealth Planning, and Operations divisions. Along with the President, she is responsible for developing and executing the growth strategy for the firm. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to her role, having joined the firm in 2002. In 2019 she was recognized by Investment News as a “See It, Be It Role Model” for diversity and inclusion as part of their annual Diversity & Inclusions Awards program. Her recognition was well-deserved, as her passion to educate, encourage, and empower women to take a larger role in their financial lives drove the launch of the successful Women & Wealth initiative at Calamos Wealth Management. Her goal is to recruit and promote more women in the financial industry and promote the growth of female investors. Within the broader Calamos enterprise, Anita formed the Women’s Initiative Network (WIN); a forum for women associates to regularly meet and openly discuss topics pertaining to professional development and personal work/life balance.
